Sandgate Wreckers Claimed 

We are a general wreckers yard located in Sandgate, Brisbane. We cover all makes and models of vehicles, and in the unlikely case that we don’t have a rare part, we are excellent at sourcing it through our network.

We care deeply about conservation and have previously won the Frank Nicastri award for Australia’s Most Environmentally Friendly Auto Recycler.

Sandgate Wreckers was established in the ’60s and purchased by the Connolly family, who were looking to expand their business, Connolly Motors, which was established in 1952. Both businesses are still in the family.

In 1985 Viv and Desley Connolly bought the wreckers, and all four of their children have either worked for the family business or still do.

Today, the business is run by their son Darren and his wife Tanya, though Viv still works at the business with their current staff of 10.

Over time Sandgate Wreckers had to expand to meet demand, and we rebuilt the old warehouse in 1994 to make sure that sensitive parts are kept safe from inclement weather.
